And no, that wasn't more than one ping. I was using a Post Detection Pulse Compression waveform to help eliminate reverb in shallow water because I know BD is in Wilmington, NC (and the water is shallow there).

Anyway......what did you think of the Keller Williams, larry Keel and Pimps of Joytime?

I was underwhelmed by the Kdubalicious Trio. Keller played bass the entire set and I just never got into it. I much prefer his solo act with his spontaneous looping and jamming. At least we got a reggaeed up version of Comes A Time. But then he covered Phish with 'Birds of A Feather' and all the Phish heads decided that a sing-along was in order. It was not.......

The Pimps were spectacular. They jammed out of one song, right into the next for their whole set.

Third set started with solo Keller and ended with both full bands on stage tearing it up and saved the evening.

9:00 PM until 1:30 AM. 1/3 of it was unremarkable, 2/3 of the show kicked ass.

Thanks for the ping but never made it out of Carteret County on New Years Eve. Family and friends and an early nighht. Ventured to Onslow County today to find good sushi in Jacksonville not far from main entrance to Camp Lejeune.

Sorry I missed the Pimps!

Hey Mando, the Bluefins are off Vah Beach right now. I'm at Rudee Inlet every afternoon.

Hey Dennis - I take it you are up in VAB for work without a lot of time for lunch/dinner?

Here's a preliminary list of shows coming up....

1/20-21 Railroad Earth - Jefferson Theatre in Charlottesville about 3 hours from VAB. Up and back is doable - let's talk about this one off line, Mrs. Mando is out of town so crashing here is an option.

1/26/12 Big Something - Doc Taylor's Seaside Market (Free)

Jesse Chong band ( plays regularly here in VAB just about every night. We could catch a couple of their shows each week. Local guy, great guitar work, very cool singing voice. He's playing at Keagan's in Town Center tomorrow night. If you are in town we could catch that one. If not, it's pretty much the same schedule week to week.

Give me a call when you can.
